"Strength And Compassion"

Whether you believe we have won or lost, everyone must admit we have made a difference. The American military not only brings violence of action to the enemy, it also brings love and compassion for their fellow human beings.
Michael Yon captured this picture and tragic story on a recent mission in Iraq. A vehicle born improvised explosive device detonated into a Stryker vehicle while American soldiers were patrolling in a neighborhood. Children were running around the Americans, hoping to talk to the soldiers and shake their hands. Insurgents detonated the VBIED while the children played.
An American soldier scooped up this little girl and began rushing her to American medics. As the girl faded away in his arms, he stopped to talk to her and hug her. The girl never made it to the hospital and died in this soldiers arms.
With a love like this soldier had for a girl he didn't know, we can conquer all evil.
