A report issued by the Combating Terrorism Center at West Point found that virtually all of the Gitmo detainees have been investigated and found to be a threat to the security of the United States. 73% of detainees have been found to be a "demonstrated threat", while 95%, including the 75% fall under the category of "potential threat".
Demonstrated threat means they have satisfied at least one of the following criteria:
explicitly and without qualification supported or waged hostile activities against the U.S. or coalition partners
fought for al Qaeda or the Taliban or associated forces
received training in an al Qaeda or Taliban training camp
received training in the use of combat weapons beyond small arms (grenades, rpg's, ied's, sniper rifles, etc.)
Potential Threat means they played a supporting role in a terrorists cell or had expressed a commitment to pursuing violence against coalition forces in the name of jihad.
This report was issued to combat assertions by detainee advocates that they do not pose a significant threat to US soldiers and their captivity is illegal and un-necessary. As you can see these assertions are false. All of the detainees have been found to be an enemy of the United States and their actions, in whole or in part, have caused the deaths of our American service personnel.

More Evidence In Case You Had Any Doubts
At a meeting between Syrian and Iranian officials that also included insurgents from Iraq, media outlets were treated to the post-US Iraq plan as envisioned by members of the axis of evil. The meeting, held in Damascus, revealed exactly what the enemy thinks of the US presence in Iraq, how they plan to use our own people against us and what the consequences will be for Iraqi who helped in defending and leading their democratic nation. Following are excerpt from Michelle Malkin's Hot Air blog:
Once the majority of American troops have left, the alliance plans to throw out the constitution, dissolve the parliament, cancel all resolutions issued from the Bremer era on, and disband the existing security forces and U.S.-trained Iraqi army divisions. The U.S. embassy in Baghdad, they said, would have to close — “as in Saigon. With helicopters on the roof” said Samarai — until Washington recognized a new, resistance-led Iraqi governing council, and offered compensation to all individuals and organizations affected by the war. Under the new leadership, all Iraqi citizens who worked for or cooperated with the current, coalition-backed government would be arrested. A “reconciliation council”, drawn in large part from the ranks of the armed insurgency, would then draw up plans for a permanent “technocratic” government — which would immediately seek criminal charges and file civil suits against the U.S. government and major American war supporters in international court.
“The American project in Iraq is now precarious,” said Nizar al-Samarai, a conference spokesman and former official in the Saddam Hussein regime. “We are sure of our victory now, so we decided to meet.”…“America doesn’t leave a country by force,” said Samarai. “Bush has been in a hole, digging deeper. So every year, it has become more difficult for America to leave Iraq. But what the muqawimma [resistance] movement has done is more than America can bear. Now there is not only a military battle in Iraq, there is a political battle in the U.S.” That part of the battle, he said, was nearly over. As for their summit, the delegates insisted it was merely postponed not cancelled. It will eventually be held — though perhaps not in Damascus.
Is there any question of what their intentions are? They will use the words of a few outspoken Americans against us in an attempt to turn political opinion against the war in Iraq. With draining support for our military the insurgency will continue to rise. When the day comes when America leaves, the insurgency, with the help of Iran and Syria, will over-throw the legitimate government and rule with a theocratic government led by terrorists. They will sweep through Iraq and anyone that assisted coalition forced will be killed. Iraq will seal the region's fate and the entire Middle East will fall into Jihadist violence. Israel will be encircled and attacked repeatedly. Terrorists attacks with the US will rise. Soon, we will be fighting an insurgency within our own country.

Soldiers' Angels Needs Your Help
Soldiers' Angels needs your help...today! Soldiers' Angels is an organization dedicated to assisting soldiers in combat theaters overseas and their families at home. The standard way people can help is to adopt a soldier. By adopting a soldier you are committing to writing just one letter a week and sending one care package a month. This is a small devotion of time you can give to send a little piece of home to our brave men and women overseas.
As of last week, Soldiers Angels received a request asking that 3,000 Marines from the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit be submitted for adoption by angels. We need everyone to step up and adopt a soldier. Not only do we need to get angels for these Marines but we need to make sure that every soldiers that is submitted gets adopted. These soldiers need to know that they are loved and appreciated.
I have adopted a young man by the name of Peter. I have written him and sent him packages. He finally found the time (in the middle of combat) to write back which I did not expect. He just got back from a short leave to the states where he was able to enjoy the birth of his first child. Sadly, he had to return to Afghanistan shortly after. Peter could be anyone to anybody. He is a Father, Husband, Relative and Friend. If a couple minutes that I take for granted can turn a day in Afghanistan into a better day then what choice do I have but to sacrifice for him. After all he is making a sacrifice for you and me and is willing to take a bullet for us.

Hezbollah All But Declares War On Israel
In a recent statement to Al-Jazeera, Hezbollah leader, Sheik Hassan Nasrallah claimed that Hezbollah rockets can reach all of Israel, which he identified using the term, "occupied Palestine". In the 34 day conflict last summer between Israel and Hezbollah, Hezbollah launched approximately 4,000 rockets into Israel, none of which struck Tel Aviv. Now they claim that they could have struck it last summer but chose not to. Now Hezbollah claims they have upwards of 33,000 rockets available.
Nasrallah defiantly stated, "We in the resistance have weapons, and we openly declare that we have weapons, that we are completing our preparedness for a greater and more dangerous stage".
After reading this, maybe you could help answer a question for me. Why are trying to broker a land for piece deal with these people after they have clearly shown us once again what their true intentions really are?
Nasrallah referred to Israel as "occupied Palestine". That means he believes that Israel rightly belongs to the Palestinians and the mere presence of Israelis on their land constitutes and act of war. Their one and only goal is the destruction of Israel and its return to the Palestinian people, the same people who target and murder innocent Israelis with rocket strikes and kidnap and illegally detain Israeli soldiers.
Based on Nasrallah's statements, we know what their goal is and also how they plan to obtain it. They will surely choose an incident that they can exploit and again launch rockets into Israel in an attempt to strike fear into the hearts of the Israelis and kill some of them in the process. We must not attempt to broker deals between the righteous and the hate filled terrorists. We should continue to support Israel as an ally and only legitimate non-Islamic government in the region.

This was submitted to my comments and was so truthful and motivating that I felt it should be reprinted for everyone.

I accept and understand that human predators exist. Criminal or terrorist, they take advantage of our civilized society to prey upon the weak. They represent evil and must be confronted and defeated.
I believe that self-defense is a moral imperative, and that illegitimate force and illegal violence must be met with righteous indignation and superior violence.
I will not rely on others for the security of myself, my family and my community. I proudly proclaim that I run with a like-minded pack. I do not amble through life with the mind-numbed herd.
I will train with my chosen weapons, maintain them and carry them in a condition of readiness at all times. I will be mentally prepared and physically equipped to effectively respond to an attack or emergency.
I will constantly test myself against realistic standards to discover my strengths and weaknesses. I will turn weakness into strength.
I will seek to learn new skills and techniques, and then teach what I have learned to other members of the pack. Be it with firearm or blade, empty hand or blunt object, I will hit my enemies hard, fast and true.
I will live a quiet and unobtrusive life, but I will develop and retain the capacity for swift and decisive violence. I recognize that I am the modern equivalent of the traditional Minuteman, and that I may be called to service at any time against heavily armed enemies. I will respond effectively.

Top Iraqi Al-Queda Leader Nabbed
Today, Central Command issued a statement stating that the highest ranking Al-Queda leader in Iraq has been caught. Khaled Abdul-Fattah Dawoud Mahmoud al-Mashhadani, also known as Abu Shahid, was captured in Mosul on July 4. Information obtained from Al-Mashhadani indicates that the group's foreign leadership, namely Osama Bin Laden, wields considerable authority over Al-Queda Iraq.
This is an excellent catch and Al-Queda will feel its impact. Although a catch like this will lead to dis-organization it will not ultimately lead to the enemy's destruction. We must allow US forces to continue the disorganization of the insurgent cells and networks until they have been so successful as to render Al-Queda in-operable. If we quit now, they will have time to re-organize and launch new and more deadly terrorist campaigns.
